Coldwater Early Bird 2011

2011 Early Bird Results:

The pool play portion of the tournament was completed on Saturday with each team playing 2 games.  Unfortunately the rain washed out the single elimination portion of the tournament on Saturday night and Sunday.  An attempt will be made to complete the tournament later in the summer with any teams that wish to return for a one day playoff (format to be determined by number of teams).

Here's the schedule:



The Coldwater Softball Association will once again be hosting the annual Early Bird Tournament. The dates for this years tournament will be May 13-15. The tournament will start Friday night and the championship game will be scheduled for Sunday afternoon.  Games will be played at Ed Deal Field at Waterworks Park in Coldwater (with the possibility of using another field nearby depending on the number of teams).  We are looking for 8-10 teams.  Any team classified A, B, C or Major is welcome.  

Sponsor and individual trophies will be awarded to the 1st place team and a sponsor trophy will be awarded to the 2nd place team.  There will also be an award for the Most Valuable Hitter and Most Valuable Pitcher.  There is a concession stand at the park with food and drinks available.  This tournament is run as a fundraiser for the Coldwater Softball Association.  The entry fee will be $225.  Each team is guaranteed 3 games.
