Tournament Information Date: June 24-26, 2011 Where: Holland Township's Helder Park, Holland, MI Divisions: Men's Fast Pitch - C/D/E - Divisions may be split depending on overall team registrations Cost: $275.00, features a 3-game guarantee Deadline: Monday, June 13, 2011 Draw: Takes place on Wednesday, June 15, 2011. Teams will be contacted and information placed on the MASA & Holland Township web sites |
Registration Information All teams must be ASA-registered. Teams must turn in the official MASA Entry Form (signed by a commissioner), ASA Roster (signed by a commissioner), and tournament entry fee to Darrin Duistermars at Holland Township. The address is listed below. Under "Holland Township Links" you will be able to get to the Holland Township Tournament web page, get official entry forms/roster (utilize the Qualifier entry form), and directions to Helder and/or Quincy Parks in Holland Township. Click the icon by each park listing and you'll get Yahoo directions from your area. |

Once again the MASA is proud to be a partner with the State Games of Michigan for 2011. The State Games of Michigan is coordinated by the West MI Sports Commission based in Grand Rapids. The State Games features an Olympic-style format with several youth and adult athletic options that are open to all residents of this great state. For Adult softball, the MASA and the WMSC are working on some incredible options for your teams to consider. More details will be coming to you in later e-mails, but we wanted teams to begin setting aside the dates of June 24-26 for these softball tournament options. | Men's Fast Pitch Class D & E |  For 2011 the MASA would like to offer Fast Pitch tournaments for Men's Class D & E. This year Moline will be hosting the MASA E State Championships while Class D will be held in Bay City. We want to give these teams an opportunity to participate in a quality tournament before their respective state final. Fast Pitch is an exciting game that has a history that other softball options just cannot match. To bring some of the best Fast Pitch players in the state to an event such as the State Games would be a great showcase to all. Details are being worked out at this time, but we want this option to work as best we can. Could that mean we offer various "rewards" for those teams that play? Possibly a paid berth to a state championship? Something else? Well, be on the lookout for additional e-mails and updates on what we plan to offer. The MASA and the State Games of Michigan are already great partners. But the addition of a Men's Fast Pitch option would be a huge plus for all involved.
