Pete Schwab Memorial (Frankenmuth, MI) July 16-18, 2010

Monday, February 15, 2010
I'd like to announce plans for the 2010 Pete Schwab Memorial Fastpitch
tournament in Frankenmuth, MI. The tournament will be held on
July
16-18th in Frankenmuth's beautiful Heritage park.

During last year's tournament, the Indians (Alvinston, ON) held off
the Lightning (Marshall, MI) by a score of 1-0 in an exciting A
bracket championship game. Meanwhile, the Twisters (Midland, MI)
defeated Duncan Outlaws (Elkhart, IN) in the B championship finals and
Gillies (Midland, MI) took home the C bracket championship.

This year's tournament will be formated as follows:

Competition Level: Intermediate / ASA A-B-C (basically, I don't
expect any PRAWN pitchers)
# of Teams: 16
Format: 4 game guarentee (3-game round robin with all teams being
seeded into one of 3 playoff brackets)
Playoffs: 8 team A bracket playoffs, 4 team B bracket playoffs, 4
team C bracket playoffs
Prizes: Refreshments
Schedule: all teams will play either 1 round robin game on Friday and
2 on Saturday ... or 3 games on Saturday
all teams will play at least 1 playoff game on Sunday
Tournament Director: David Lach
UIC: Mike Clark (umpyclark@charter.net)
