Riverfront Shootout 2010

The Riverfront Shootout completed its play on Sunday with a rematch of last years finals with the Marshall Lightning against the Ashland Stockpack. Another great game between these two teams with the Lightning defeating the Stockpack 9-2 to earn a US East berth to this years ISC World Tournament, in Midland, Michigan later this year. Congrats to both teams for having yet again another great tournament. These two teams between them have won the first 3 Shootouts with the Stockpack winning the first year and the Lightning winning the last 2 years.

Sean Kelly from the Lightning was MVP Pitcher.  Adam Saylor also from the Lightning was MVP Player with an outstanding weekend at the plate.  Also Congrats to Tiffany's for winning the consolation bracket.  We would like to thank all the teams and the umpires that participated in this years tournament, you all made this another great weekend at the ballpark.

The 3rd Annual Riverfront Shootout will once again take place on Memorial Weekend May 28th - 30th in Bay City, Michigan.

The tournament field is looking strong and filling up quickly for the upcoming year. Here is a quick update for you.  We currently have only seven spots remaining.  For tourney info please see the 2010 World Tournament Qualifier Calender on the ISC web page. Here's a list of the teams committed:

The 3rd Annual Riverfront Shootout will once again take place on Memorial Weekend May 28th - 30th in Bay City, Michigan.
 
Berths: (1) This years tournament will award the top finishing US East team a bid to this years World Tournament in Midland, Michigan.
 
Format: A 4-game gaurantee with 4 brackets of 5 teams with a total of 20 teams.  The top 2 teams from each bracket will advance to a single game elimination playoff.
