Argentina v. Munger Results

The Argentina Junior Team made a stop in Coldwater, MI last night and split a double header with two local teams.  

In the first game the Argentina team defeated the Coldwater League All-Stars 2-1.  The All-Star team was made up of 2 players from each of the 8 teams in the Coldwater Men's Fastpitch League. 

In the second game, the Neitzert's/Thunder (23 & Under) team defeated the Argentina team 7-1.  The Thunder players were mostly from the Neitzert's/Thunder league team that also won the Michigan Class B State Championship last weekend in Midland as well as a few other 23 & Under players from the Coldwater league.  Both games were shortened to 5 innings due to time constraints.

The Argentina Jr. Men's National Team will be stopping in Michigan this summer during their tour of the US and Canada.  They will be playing a double header in Coldwater on Monday, July 11th at Waterworks Park.  They will then head to Munger the following night for another double header (Tuesday, July 12th).

The Argentina Jr. National Team will be playing in the Boys of Summer tournament in Wisconsin (July 8-10), then travelling through Michigan on their way to Ontario for several more games.  The team is touring North America this summer to prepare for the ISF Jr. Men's World Championship (19 & Under) that will be held in Parana, Argentina in 2012.
